Russian strike hits Zaporizhzhia, sparks fire at gas station

On the night of September 28, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Zaporizhzhia. According to a Telegram post by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the attack has already caused a fire.
Starting around 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time, a series of explosions was heard across the Zaporizhzhia region. Fedorov later reported that the region faced a threat of high-speed missile strikes, and the Air Forces had warned of drones heading toward the regional center.
According to the latest information, at least four explosions were heard within Zaporizhzhia itself, and a fire broke out in one of the districts.
“As a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia, a fire broke out in one of the city’s districts. Emergency services are inspecting the area,” the report stated at 01:26 Kyiv time.

Fedorov confirmed that the enemy struck the city at least four times. Additionally, the first details and photos of the attack’s aftermath have emerged.
“A gas station and its equipment were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties,” he said.
Attack on Zaporizhzhia
Recently, Russians have been increasingly shelling Zaporizhzhia in recent days and weeks.
For example, the night of September 27 was also not without consequences. The enemy attacked the city with two strike drones, resulting in the destruction of an ATB store and leaving nine subscribers without electricity.
