Ukraine continues talks with Musk, source says

Ever since the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine, Elon Musk has stood on the side of truth. In February 2022, American entrepreneur Elon Musk took to Twitter to urge Ukraine to remain strong in the face of the Russian invasion. “Stay strong, Ukraine,” Musk wrote, also expressing sympathy for the “great Russian people” who do not want war.

To this day, Musk continues to support Ukrainians, although there have been occasional disagreements. In 2022, his company provided Ukraine with access to the Starlink satellite system, which helped maintain communication in regions where conventional networks were disrupted and gave the Ukrainian Armed Forces additional capabilities for coordination on the battlefield.

It later emerged that Musk had restricted Ukraine’s use of Starlink in the Crimea region while the Ukrainian Armed Forces were preparing to attack the Russian fleet in Sevastopol, which sparked a wave of criticism directed at him.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk opposes Ukraine’s use of the Starlink satellite system to launch strikes on Russian territory, emphasizing that the focus now must be on achieving peace.

American entrepreneur Elon Musk was awarded the Order of Freedom. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the corresponding decree, honoring him for outstanding personal contributions to the protection of human life and freedom, and the development of relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States of America.
