The Kremlin once again declared its readiness for negotiations with Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Kyiv must "legally clear the obstacles," the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports.

Russia has once again declared its alleged readiness for negotiations with Ukraine.

Peskov stated that Kyiv must take certain legal steps to "clear the obstacles" for the start of dialogue with Moscow.

"If Ukraine wishes and is open to it, Kyiv must take steps that will legally clear the obstacles for negotiations with Russia," Kremlin Press Secretary said, commenting on the statement by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the possibility of discussing a moratorium on strikes against civilian infrastructure.

Peskov also added that the Russian President had repeatedly stated his "openness to negotiations" and believes that Putin's words yesterday are yet another confirmation of such a position.

Earlier, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced an Easter ceasefire, which lasted from 6:00 p.m. on April 19 to 12:00 a.m. Moscow time on April 21. The Russian leader stated that he had given the order to cease all hostilities.

However, as a result, fighting on the front line still continued. At the same time, a decrease in the number of shellings was recorded.

After the end of the ceasefire, Russia accused Ukraine of violating the terms.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly continued shelling, including artillery strikes and the use of drones against Russian military positions.

At the same time, yesterday Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the possibility of a peace agreement with Ukraine, expressed by US President Donald Trump.

According to him, Russia "remains open to finding a peaceful settlement."
