Russian President's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the second round of talks will take place in Abu Dhabi on February 4–5. The Russian delegation will be led by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Igor Kostyukov, according to Russian media reports.

According to the Kremlin spokesperson, the second round of work of the security group in Abu Dhabi will take place on February 4–5.

He also said that the composition of the Russian delegation at the talks in Abu Dhabi will remain unchanged and will be led by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Igor Kostyukov.

Talks in Abu Dhabi

Ukrainian officials have already departed for a meeting with Russian and American delegations in Abu Dhabi, scheduled for February 4–5. Previous trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia took place in the United Arab Emirates on January 23–24.

The greatest progress at that time was made in the military track, while the territorial issue remained unresolved. In particular, possible disengagement of forces, ceasefire monitoring mechanisms, and the creation of a coordination center were discussed.

After the previous meeting, the next round of talks was announced for February 1. Later, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the meeting had been postponed and would take place the following week, specifically on February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi.

In one interview, Zelenskyy said that resolving the territorial issue is impossible without a meeting with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

In addition, on February 2, a spokesperson for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, stated that a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin is possible only in Moscow.

The Kremlin spokesperson also said that peace talks are a "very complex" multi-vector process, but added that there has been some convergence on certain issues.

It also became known that the talks between Ukraine and Russia scheduled for February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi will be attended by the special envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff.
