The next round of talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia will take place on February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.

“Our negotiating team has just delivered its report. The dates for the next trilateral meetings have been set: February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi,” Zelenskyy said.

He noted that Ukraine is ready for a substantive discussion and is interested in ensuring that the outcome brings the country closer to a real and dignified end to the war.

Talks in Abu Dhabi

Last week, on January 23–24, trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia took place in the UAE. The United States assessed the meeting positively, while Kyiv described it as substantive.

It was also announced that a second round of talks was expected to take place on February 1. According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump’s special envoys were not expected to attend, meaning Ukraine and Russia would hold a bilateral meeting.

At the same time, Zelenskyy warned that the meeting could be postponed due to the situation around Iran, as the United States may strike the ayatollah regime, which could affect the date.

In addition, Zelenskyy recently said that resolving territorial issues would be impossible without a meeting with Putin.
