Kremlin announces Putin's upcoming visit to China

Vladimir Putin plans to visit China on August 31. During the visit, full-scale talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping are possible, according to Putin's international affairs aide Yuri Ushakov.
According to Ushakov, Putin and Xi Jinping will meet in China during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, which will take place from August 31 to September 1.
"They will also take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan and the end of World War II on September 3 in Beijing. And on September 2, full-scale bilateral talks will be held," Ushakov said.
China's position on Russia's war against Ukraine
China claims neutrality regarding the full-scale Russian war against Ukraine and calls for a peaceful settlement through negotiations. At the same time, it avoids direct assessments of Moscow's aggression and claims to respect the sovereignty of all countries.
Beijing also does not support Western sanctions against Moscow and maintains an economic and political partnership with it.
Recently, the head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleh Ivashchenko, said that China systematically supplies Russia with military components.
