Kharkiv under Russian drone attack: Hits in several districts, one casualty reported

The Russian army attacked Kharkiv with drones on the evening of Tuesday, April 8. It is already known that one of the districts was hit, and there is a report of a casualty, according to the city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, and the Air Force.
Around 8:30 PM Kyiv time, the Air Force reported that Russian strike drones began entering the airspace of Kharkiv region. Shortly after, the airmen warned of the danger to Kharkiv.
At 9:01 PM Kyiv time, Terekhov reported an explosion in the city.
"A strike hit the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. There is a fire at the scene. Information about casualties and damages is being clarified," he wrote.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, clarified that the strike was carried out by a Shahed type drone.
At 9:16 PM Kyiv time, Syniehubov reported another explosion in Kharkiv.
Terekhov clarified that both explosions occurred approximately in the same location.
"There is a fire — a utility building is burning. There is no information about casualties at this moment," he reported.

Syniehubov stated that the second drone strike occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city.
"At this moment, no information about casualties has been received. Data on damages is being verified," he reported.

Terekhov reported the first casualty as a result of the drone strike.
At the same time, Syniehubov stated that the enemy drone attack caused a fire in the Kyivskyi district. A strike was recorded on a two-story building.

Terekhov stated that there is information about an enemy drone attack on the Industrial district.
"If confirmed, this will be the third strike on Kharkiv today," he clarified.

Terekhov reported multiple explosions in Kharkiv due to a Russian drone attack.
"In the Industrial district of the city, as a result of the enemy drone attack, warehouse buildings are on fire. No information on casualties has been received at this time," Terekhov wrote.
He clarified that a fire had started at the site of the latest hits.

Synehubov stated that Kharkiv is under a massive attack by enemy drones. At least 15 explosions were heard in the city.
"The threat of enemy strikes persists. Stay in safe places until the all-clear is given," he warned.
Attacks on Kharkiv
On the evening of Thursday, April 3, the Russian army traditionally attacked Ukraine with drones. Kharkiv was also under fire.
As of the morning of Friday, April 4, it was reported that four people were killed in Kharkiv. The city's mayor, Ihor Terekhov, reported at least two strikes in the Novobavarskyi district. There was a hit on a two-story building and a multi-apartment building.
On the evening of Sunday, April 7, a powerful explosion also occurred in Kharkiv, with the military warning of a ballistic threat.
It is worth noting that the spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, Dmytro Chubenko, stated that the Russian forces have recently intensified attacks on Kharkiv. Moreover, their tactics and trends in attacks have changed.
"The Russians have intensified attacks on the city of Kharkiv. The tactics and trends of the shelling have changed. Now, the attacks are carried out by a group of UAVs. This is already the fifth attack this week, and they are using a massed strike — from 10 to 15 UAVs each time for the strikes," he said.
