Kharkiv under massive attack, series of explosions rock city - Initial aftermath

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the evening of July 26 during another wave of Russian Shahed drone attacks, according to a statement from Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"There was an explosion in Kharkiv. An enemy drone struck the Kyivskyi district. Stay alert, more enemy UAVs are approaching the city," Terekhov warned.
Later, he reported that the strike hit a civilian enterprise that had not been operational for several years. The extent of the damage is still being clarified. A second impact occurred in roughly the same area as the first.
The movement of Russian drones over the Kharkiv region was also confirmed by Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Regional Military Administration.
"There is a group of strike drones in the Kharkiv region. The threat to Kharkiv remains. Stay in shelters until the air raid alert is lifted. And take care of yourselves," he stated.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force warned that a new group of attack drones had been launched from Russia’s Belgorod region, heading toward the Kharkiv region with a direct course for the city.

During the night of July 26, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs (KABs), missiles, and drones. As a result, residential buildings, a civilian enterprise, roads, and the trolleybus power network were damaged.
At least six people were injured, including two children and four State Emergency Service workers.
Russian forces also targeted Dnipro and the surrounding region. In Kamianske, an Epicentr shopping center was destroyed by fire following the strike.
