Kharkiv under attack: 10+ hits, building burns, casualties reported

On the night of November 18–19, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. Buildings were damaged, fires broke out, and there were casualties, according to the Telegram accounts of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov.
Syniehubov reported that preliminarily, 11 drones targeted the Slobidskyi and Osnovianskyi districts of the city. He stated that:
- A strike hit a nine-story building, causing a fire;
- Garages caught fire.
The Mayor of Kharkiv confirmed that the strike on the building occurred in the Slobidskyi district.
“As a result of the strike on the high-rise building, there are casualties; the number is being clarified… 22 people have been evacuated from the affected entrance of the building,” Terekhov wrote.
He also reported preliminary information about a strike near one of the city’s medical facilities.
“There is information about an injured doctor, damage to the building itself, and vehicles. Information is being clarified,” the message stated.
Casualties
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, as of 00:43 Kyiv time, five people were injured in Kharkiv.

Oleh Syniehubov reported that the number of injured has risen to seven. Two more people have sought medical assistance.

The number of those injured in Kharkiv continues to grow. According to the latest information, medics are now treating 22 people.
Regional authorities also reported that among the injured is a 13-year-old girl who is experiencing an acute stress reaction.
Attacks on Kharkiv
Russian forces regularly strike Kharkiv using combat drones, missiles, and guided bombs.
For example, on November 16, Russian forces attacked the Kholodnogirskyi district. A drone hit a playground, shattering windows in surrounding buildings. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Additionally, a series of explosions occurred on the morning of November 12. The Russian army attacked Kharkiv with three drones, damaging a civilian manufacturing facility and private homes.
