US President Donald Trump may join potential Ukraine-Russia negotiations but only if Russian President Vladimir Putin attends, US Presidential Envoy to Ukraine Keith Kellogg said on Fox Business.

Kellogg believes that if a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Putin takes place, it could be a positive development.

The US Presidential Envoy also confirmed that Zelenskyy is indeed set to travel to Türkiye and will be there on May 15.

"We're hoping President Putin shows up as well, and then President Trump will be there. This could be an absolutely incredible meeting," he emphasized.

According to Kellogg, the US has already prepared a list of topics to be discussed. This list was formed based on consultations with Ukraine and European allies in London and Paris.

"We'll get peace pretty fast if all three leadership are down to talk. President Trump has the art of the deal. He really knows how to make it work. And if he shows up... Zelenskyy will be there, and if Putin shows up, I think we're a lot closer to a deal than many people think," he added.

The Envoy stressed that the first outcome of the talks should be at least a 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.

Trump may attend Ukraine-Russia talks

Just yesterday, on May 12, US President Donald Trump stated that he is considering a trip to Istanbul to take part in potential negotiations between Ukraine and Russia on May 15.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already confirmed that he will personally be in Türkiye on May 15. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin has yet to respond to the proposal for such talks.
