Kellogg explains his approach to Ukraine settlement

At the Ukrainian Lunch of the Munich Security Conference, US President's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said that he would not want to exclude anyone from the negotiation process regarding Ukraine - neither Ukraine nor Europe.
He says President Trump has been in office for less than 30 days. And in the past 30 days, the administration has achieved more than the previous one did in three years, according to him. Trump views "everything must be done to end the war" differently, from the perspective of humanity, Kellogg said.
According to him, losses on the Ukrainian side are three times higher than what the US lost in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He compared Mariupol with Denver completely destroyed to show the level of destruction. And President Trump wants to stop this.
Kellogg emphasized the need to secure Ukrainian sovereignty and that Ukraine is protected in its rights. In his opinion, communication with European allies is important in this process.
The US cannot do this alone. For long-term peace, neither President Zelensky nor anyone else can be excluded, Kellogg stressed.
Europe's concerns about Trump
On February 12, US President Donald Trump had a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. As media reports, this move came as a surprise to European countries.
Western media also say that Europe fears that the US is excluding them from the negotiation process regarding Ukraine. Against this backdrop, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth admitted Europe’s participation in the negotiations.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also emphasized that Europe's participation in the negotiations is important. He also called on Europe to create its own forces.
