Kellogg assesses human losses in Ukraine war, states US position

Washington is focused on stopping the largest land war in Europe since World War II - the war in Ukraine, The Guardian reports.
“The biggest thing we want to do is stop the largest land war in Europe since the Second World War,” US Presidential Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said.
Kellogg also added that “this is a war of industrial strength with over hundreds - not one thousand or two thousand.”
“In Afghanistan, Russians came out after losing 18,000; we left Vietnam after losing 65,000. We’re now talking of the level of dead and wounded on both sides (that - ed.) have eclipsed a million,” the US Presidential Special Envoy continued.
Kellogg called such loss estimates “stugging” and added that “this war needs to come to an end to some way.”
RBC-Ukraine previously reported on Kellogg’s new statements regarding the provision of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
Earlier, Kellogg confirmed that President Donald Trump had authorized long-range strikes on Russia,“but occasionally, Ukraine has not been granted authority by the Pentagon to carry them out.”
Furthermore, Kellogg recently defended US attempts to establish contact with Belarus, arguing that it could help bring the war in Ukraine to an end.
