Many fans consider him their TV father. He lived a good life. His legacy will live on in his outstanding works in television and film as an actor," said the star’s relative.
"My father loved working as an actor throughout his entire life," he added.
John’s death was also commented on by Julia Buchwald, president of the talent agency Buchwald.
"We were so proud to represent John. He was not only a remarkable talent but also a deeply kind and generous soul. His impact on the industry and those who knew him will never be forgotten," she said.

During his successful career, John Amos appeared in films and series such as Good Times, Roots, Coming to America, and others. In Die Hard 2, he portrayed the role of Major Grant.
He was also a sought-after actor on Broadway, frequently appearing on the theater stage. In 2009, Amos released his own music album. The American actor was nominated for a NAACP Image Award and won the TV Land Awards three times.
Health issues
The news of John Amos's death emerged nearly a year and four months after he was hospitalized. At that time, he experienced health problems related to heart issues. Doctors assured that the actor's condition was improving.
His hospitalization followed his daughter Shannon's claim that her father had fallen victim to elder abuse, which occurred in June of last year.
The woman filed a complaint with the Colorado Bureau of Investigations and created a GoFundMe page to raise funds for her father's care. Later, she removed these posts at his request.
Subsequently, the actor described these allegations as false. He portrayed his son as "a caring, thoughtful human being who respects me." John Amos also promised to shed light on the truth and motives behind this story through a documentary he was filming with his son.
