Hostage return plan
Israel has created a five-step plan for returning the hostages.
In the first stage, Hamas will surrender the hostages to the Red Cross, who will then transfer them to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF). Subsequently, the hostages will undergo examination and be transported to a medical center in Israel, where they can meet with their families.
During the fourth stage, health and security agencies will assess the hostages' well-being to determine which of them are fit for interrogation. Those who meet the requirements will undergo questioning by the security and defense agencies in the final phase.
