The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that they have uncovered and destroyed over 400 underground tunnels built and utilized by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli military sources, Hamas militants had established a network of tunnels beneath populated areas throughout the Gaza Strip. The IDF emphasizes that many of the tunnel entrances are located near civilian hospitals, schools, and residences.

The Israeli Defense Army underscores the significant role played by the special forces unit Yahal of the Engineering Corps in the detection and destruction of these tunnel networks.
