Israel stated that it struck Syria and destroyed Hezbollah missile depots
Israeli aviation conducted strikes on the central region of Syria on the night of October 5. As a result of the attack in Homs province, warehouses containing weapons for the Hezbollah militants were destroyed, according to Avichay Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
A representative of the Israeli army confirmed that targets in Syria were bombed by the Air Force during the night. He later provided details about the affected sites.
"The Air Force managed to destroy Hezbollah's weapons and rocket warehouses at the Palmyra airport in central Syria," he stated.
Israeli strikes on Hezbollah targets
Earlier, it was reported that Israeli forces have intensified their efforts against Hezbollah militants, who are supported by Iran. These attacks occur in both Lebanon and Syria.
Recently, there was a series of explosions involving pagers and other electronic devices used by Hezbollah members in Lebanon.
On September 28, the Israeli army launched a massive strike in Lebanon, during which Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was reportedly eliminated.
On October 1, the Israeli army began a raid in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure. This ground operation was accompanied by airstrikes, including those on Beirut and its suburbs.
The IDF also conducted airstrikes on Beirut yesterday, reportedly targeting Nasrallah's successor, Hashem Safieddine. As of now, there is no official information regarding his survival following the strike.
Additionally, experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that on the night of October 3, Israeli drones attacked an ammunition depot near the Russian Khmeimim airbase in the Latakia province of Syria.
