Israel hits two secret Iranian bases in attack - AP
Israel's attack on Iran has damaged two secret military bases outside Tehran. Satellite photos show this, reports the Associated Press.
Satellite images analyzed by the Associated Press on Sunday indicate that the Israeli attack on Iran damaged facilities at a secret military base southeast of the Iranian capital that experts have linked in the past to Tehran's former nuclear weapons program, as well as another base linked to its ballistic missile program.

Some of the damaged buildings are located at Iran's Parchin military base, where the International Atomic Energy Agency suspects Iran has tested powerful explosives in the past that could produce nuclear weapons.
Iran has long insisted that its nuclear program is peaceful, although the IAEA, Western intelligence agencies, and others have alleged that Tehran had an active weapons program until 2003.
Other damage could be seen at the nearby Khodjir military base, which analysts believe hides an underground system of tunnels and missile production sites.
The Iranian armed forces did not acknowledge any damage in either Khojir or Parchin as a result of the Israeli attack on Saturday morning, although they said that four Iranian soldiers working in the country's air defense systems were killed in the attack.
Iran announced on Sunday that a civilian had been killed, but did not provide details.
Israel's response to the Iranian attack
Yesterday, October 26, Israel struck targets in Iran in response to a previous ballistic missile attack. A series of explosions were recorded in Tehran and other cities.
Israeli forces confirmed the attack, saying that “precision strikes” were being carried out on Iranian military targets.
Iran and Iraq closed their airspace to protect themselves from possible further attacks.
According to Israeli media reports, the first wave of strikes targeted facilities related to missile production and air defense.
Some time after the strikes, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that it had completed a night operation against Iranian military facilities. The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel's actions, emphasizing the country's right to self-defense. At the same time, some media outlets noted that Iran may have conveyed through an intermediary that it does not plan to respond to Israel's attacks at this time.
