Israel eliminates another key Iranian nuclear scientist - Media

As a result of recent strikes in northern Tehran, senior scientist Mohammad Reza Seddighi Saber was killed. According to Iranian media, he was involved in Iran's nuclear program, CNN reports.
What's known
According to media reports, Saber worked on explosive device development projects within the Iranian defense research organization SPND.
The United States had previously imposed sanctions on him for his role in Iran's nuclear weapons program.
This is not the first targeted killing of scientists. According to the Council on Foreign Relations, at least 10 key Iranian specialists have been killed in Israeli strikes over the past 12 days. Among them were Fereydoon Abbasi, the former head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, and Amir Hossein Feqhi, the former deputy head.
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed the elimination of another Iranian scientist but did not disclose the name.
In a statement, it said that over the past 24 hours, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) "struck major regime targets in the heart of Tehran, eliminated hundreds of Basij operatives and assassinated another senior nuclear scientist".
Israel's operation in Iran
Israel launched Operation Rising Lion against Iran on June 13, striking military and nuclear facilities. The IDF eliminated senior military officials and specialists connected to Iran's nuclear program.
On June 20, it was reported that Israel attempted to kill an Iranian nuclear scientist using an unmanned aerial vehicle. The strike took place in central Tehran.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that the Jewish State is preparing to intensify strikes on Iran to destabilize the regime.
It is also known that Russian nuclear scientists are currently present in Iran. However, Russian leader Vladimir Putin claimed that the Kremlin has an agreement with the Israeli leadership not to target Russian specialists working on the construction of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran.
