Israel is ready to fight against Iran on its own if US President Donald Trump makes a deal with Tehran, says Israel’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

“Israel will be ready to conclude this operation once it has achieved its objectives,” Brodsky said.

He noted that Israel’s goals do not differ from the American ones.

“Our objectives may be narrower than the Americans', but I am confident they are included in the list of American objectives. Therefore, there are no disagreements; we are fully coordinating our actions with the Americans,” the ambassador added.

If the US withdraws from the war, Israel is ready to continue the operation on its own. Israel is ready to do everything to protect its security and achieve its goals, the ambassador emphasizes, adding that Israel has done this without the United States, with the United States, and will do this afterward.

Answering the question of whether he believes that a US-Iran deal could be reached within five days, the ambassador noted that Israel is in constant contact with the United States.

“President Trump communicates with Prime Minister Netanyahu regularly. I am sure he passes information to him. It is too early to talk about a deal now. We see that, on the one hand, Trump publishes information about a deal being prepared, on the other hand, there is a buildup of forces in the Middle East, so this leaves all options open,” he added.

Trump wants to make a deal with Iran

US President Donald Trump, after contacts with Iran, decided to postpone strikes on the country’s energy infrastructure.

He believes that productive and constructive talks have taken place between Washington and Tehran, which could lead to a deal in the coming days.

Iranian media, however, deny the fact of such negotiations. Iran’s Foreign Ministry said that the US is trying to buy time amid diplomatic efforts toward de-escalation.

According to Reuters, the US is in contact with Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. He denied these reports and said he supports the position of the country’s supreme leader.

On March 23, Trump also stated that Iran wants to make a deal and that it could happen within five days or earlier.

Iran said it is ready to consider US proposals to end the war, but emphasized that any deal must take into account its key demands.

Today, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that the US has handed Iran a peace plan consisting of 15 points aimed at ending hostilities in the Middle East.
