Germany's support for Ukraine
Germany is an important ally of Ukraine in providing various types of assistance - military, humanitarian, and financial in the context of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the German government has provided Ukraine with modern weapons, including Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery systems, IRIS-T air defense systems, Leopard 2 battle tanks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and other military equipment.
In addition to defense support, Germany is investing in humanitarian initiatives, restoring critical infrastructure, and helping Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, recently emphasized the importance of avoiding red lines in the process of providing support to Ukraine.
