Ireland to provide Giraffe radars to Ukraine. Zelenskyy shares details of meeting with PM

Details of the meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Taoiseach of Ireland Micheál Martin have been revealed. In particular, Ireland will provide Ukraine with Giraffe radars, states the president's website.
"The key topic of the meeting was steps toward ending the war with a guaranteed peace for Ukraine and all of Europe. Ukraine appreciates that Ireland shares its vision for the future security architecture," the statement said.
Specifically, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Micheál Martin discussed security guarantees and the importance of unity between Ukraine, Europe, and the US on the path toward achieving a just peace.
Particular attention was given to airspace control, Ireland’s participation in the demining coalition, and the EU training mission for Ukrainian military personnel. Micheál Martin announced that Ireland would provide Ukraine with Giraffe radars.
"Additionally, the leaders discussed the construction of shelters in Ukrainian schools and support for school meal reform. They also addressed Ukraine’s initiative to ensure food security in Syria," the president's website added.
Giraffe radars
The Giraffe AMB radar is a notable representative of the modern generation of radars.
The development of the experimental Giraffe AMB (Agile Multi Beam) radar prototype was completed in 1997 under an $80 million contract by the Swedish company Ericsson.
The radar’s detection range extends from 30 to 100 km and exceeds 20 km in altitude.
The Giraffe AMB radar can simultaneously function as a command post and a target acquisition radar (SCC) for six RBS 23 Bamse air defense system launchers and other air defense assets.
The radar is used in French and Estonian air defense units, where it provides target designation for Mistral surface-to-air missile launchers.
