Iran supplies Russia with latest high-precision aerial bombs for strikes on Ukraine - Bild
Iran has reportedly supplied Russia with the latest high-precision Qaem-5 aerial bombs for strikes on Ukraine, according to Bild.
Bild's open data analysis expert Julian Röpcke studied the video footage from the Kursk region where the heavy Iranian Qods Mohajer-6 drone crashed. The analysis suggests that this drone was carrying the latest Iranian guided aerial bombs, the Qaem-5. It's noteworthy that Iran only introduced these bombs into its arsenal in 2019.
"Judging from everything, the drone was supposed to attack the Sumy region, but for unknown reasons, it crashed," Röpcke noted.
Prior to this incident, Russian forces had not used the high-precision Qaem-5 in Ukraine. Röpcke's remarks suggest that their deployment signifies a "new level" of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.

Russia-Iran cooperation
From the first months of full-scale invasion, Iran has been supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine and providing military assistance to the aggressor country.
In particular, Tehran has supplied Moscow with kamikaze drones, which the Russian army has been using to attack Ukraine since the autumn of 2022.
Additionally, Iran has developed a new 'explosive' drone, the Shahed-107, which Moscow can use against Ukraine. The source also notes that Iran is close to providing the aggressor country with ground-to-ground missiles.
