Russia launched 255 attack drones toward multiple regions of Ukraine overnight, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The latest Russian attack began at 6:00 p.m. on July 30. This time, Russian forces used 255 attack drones, including Shahed drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones.

The drones were launched from Oryol and Kursk in Russia, as well as Donetsk and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The following were involved in repelling the attack:

  • Aircraft;

  • Anti-aircraft missile forces;

  • Electronic warfare and unmanned systems units;

  • Mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

"According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 195 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, in the north, south, and east of the country," the report said.

The Ukrainian Air Force also confirmed that 22 attack drones struck targets at 14 locations, while drone debris fell at four locations.

"The attack is ongoing. Enemy drones remain in the airspace. Please follow safety precautions!" the Ukrainian military said.
