Iran has set a condition for negotiations with the United States regarding the nuclear deal. Negotiations will be impossible unless Washington changes its policy of pressure, reports Reuters, citing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

Araghchi emphasized that negotiations with the United States would not be possible unless Washington altered its pressure policy.

This statement comes amid Tehran's preparations to respond to a letter from US President Donald Trump, which included a proposal for a new nuclear deal.

Earlier this month, Trump announced that he had sent a letter to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“There are two ways Iran can be handled: militarily, or you make a deal,” Trump warned in the letter.

Khamenei rejected the US proposal for negotiations, calling it a "deception" and stating that dialogue with the Trump administration would only "tighten the knot of sanctions and increase pressure on Iran."

The Trump administration responded to Khamenei's refusal to engage in talks with Washington, advising the Iranian leader to prioritize the interests of the people over terrorism.

Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Minister recently stated that Tehran would soon respond to the threats and opportunities outlined in the letter.

According to media reports, Trump demanded in his letter to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei that a new nuclear deal be concluded within two months.

Additionally, Axios reported that the US and Israel will hold high-level consultations on Iran next week.
