The Iranian regime is planning to attack US military facilities in European countries. Such a scenario is likely if US President Donald Trump decides to further escalate the war in the Middle East, Financial Times reports.

According to insiders, Tehran is already considering scenarios for attacks on US targets in Southeast Europe.

Bulgaria could be one of the first countries to come under attack. In July, it allowed the Bezmer Air Base to be used for refueling US aircraft.

In addition, Iran may attack Cyprus. Recall that it was there in March that a drone attacked a British military base.

Tehran has also considered the possibility of damaging undersea fiber-optic cables in the Strait of Hormuz if the situation begins to escalate.

Such threats indicate that Tehran is preparing more and more seriously for a possible resumption of war. Representatives of the Iranian regime believe that a new confrontation could begin and that it is, so to speak, only a matter of time.

At the same time, negotiations on reopening the Strait of Hormuz have effectively stalled. Last week, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei appointed hardliners to key positions in the security and military leadership. And on Tuesday, Trump stated that between Washington and Tehran, there were no negotiations or talks underway or planned.

Incidentally, Russia supplies Iran with explosives, drone components, and ammunition via the Caspian Sea.

Iran has no intention of opening the Strait of Hormuz and is making demands on the US.

Recently, Trump once again shared his plans to declare the Strait of Hormuz US territory.
