Iran launches missiles at Israel despite Trump's ceasefire announcement

Iran launched missiles toward Israel on the morning of June 24, despite statements from US President Donald Trump about a ceasefire, according to the IDF.
"A short while ago, the IDF identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel," reads the statement.
The IDF urged the public to continue following the instructions of the Home Front Command. The military noted that air defense efforts are ongoing to neutralize the threat.
"Leaving the protected space is only permitted following an explicit directive. Continue to follow the instructions of the Home Front Command," the IDF added.
Rocket sirens were activated in multiple regions across the country. Two volleys of missiles were launched toward Israel.
During the latest barrage, damage was reported to civilian infrastructure in Be’er Sheva. There have been no reports of casualties.
Background
On June 24, US President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a full ceasefire, which was expected to begin approximately six hours after both countries completed their final operations. He stated that the ceasefire would last for 12 hours, after which the war would be considered over.
Media reports indicated that Israel agreed to the ceasefire under one condition: that Iran stop its attacks on the country.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran was ready for a ceasefire as long as Israel also stopped attacking Iranian targets.
