Israel has agreed to a ceasefire with Iran, but on one condition, according to CNN.

"Israel agreed to the ceasefire deal on the condition that Iran stop its attacks in their country," a senior White House official said.

He added that Iran accepted the terms.

According to CNN, during negotiations, US President Donald Trump spoke directly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Vice President J. D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff conducted talks with the Iranians through both direct and indirect channels.

Just a few hours ago, Trump announced there would be a ceasefire between Israel and Iran today. The White House claims that the agreement was only made possible by the US strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities.

The official told CNN that Trump also spoke with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, thanking him for his role in mediating the ceasefire deal.

Trump's announcement

Trump posted on social media that Israel and Iran had agreed to a full ceasefire.

According to him, Iran would halt fire first, followed by Israel. After 24 hours of ceasefire, the war would be considered officially over.

However, Iran also presented its conditions. Specifically, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi demanded that Israel stop its attacks by 4 AM today.

That time has already passed. Some media outlets reported hearing explosions in Iran, but whether this is true remains unclear.

At the same time, Trump made an important point: in his post, published around 01:00 AM, he stated that the ceasefire would begin approximately six hours later, after both sides completed their ongoing operations.
