iPhone 17 gets camera of future that everyone dreams of

Unlike Android smartphones, iPhones still do not support 8K video recording. Although the iPhone 16 series could technically offer recording at that resolution, Apple has not implemented this feature. Now, an insider has claimed that the iPhone 17 will finally support 8K video recording, according to the GSMArena website, which focuses on mobile devices and technologies.
Currently, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus support 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second, while the Pro and Pro Max models can record up to 120 frames per second. According to internal data, Apple initially planned to add 8K video recording to the iPhone 16, but the limitation came from the telephoto lens used in the Pro versions.
To shoot in 8K, a sensor with a resolution of at least 35 MP is required, while the iPhone uses a 12-megapixel camera. According to Apple, the lack of 8K support on the telephoto lens would have caused confusion, as users would not have been able to switch between all the cameras during recording.
Unlike Apple, Android smartphone manufacturers prefer to offer the maximum recording resolution for each camera module.
If the iPhone 17 does indeed get 8K video recording support, it means that Apple plans to upgrade the telephoto lens by increasing its resolution.
