Industrial warehouse hit by drone attack in Kyiv region, fire breaks out
A Russian overnight drone attack on December 2 resulted in a fire breaking out in the Kyiv region. In particular, a warehouse facility was affected, the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, reports.
Kravchenko noted that the air raid alert in the Kyiv region lasted all night and was announced twice. Ukraine's air defense forces were active in the area, with destroyed enemy targets confirmed.
Local authorities didn't record any direct strikes on critical or residential infrastructure, and there were no casualties reported. However, debris from downed drones caused a fire.
"In one of the region's districts, falling debris from downed enemy drones caused a fire in a warehouse of an agricultural enterprise. The fire has been extinguished," the Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration stated.
Overnight Russian attack
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of December 2, Russian forces launched 110 strike drones and other UAV types at Ukraine. Air defense systems were active across ten regions of the country.
In total, Ukraine's air defense forces destroyed 52 drones, and another 50 UAVs were lost locally. Six more drones flew to Russia and Belarus.
At night, a Russian drone hit a five-story building in Ternopil. The attack caused a fire. Three people were injured, and one person was killed.
The Russian army also targeted Kyiv with UAVs. Up to 20 drones were destroyed in the capital and on the outskirts.
