In Kharkiv, number of victims increased again - Russian strike on Epicenter hypermarket
The death toll from the strike on the Epicenter in Kharkiv has risen again. As of this morning, 12 people are reported dead, according to the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Law enforcement officials report that ten of the victims remain unidentified. Forty-three people sustained injuries.
It is also reported that the number of casualties from the missile strike on the Kharkiv center has risen to 25 individuals, including a 14-year-old boy.
Overall, as of the morning of May 26, 12 people have been confirmed dead and 68 civilians injured due to Russian strikes on Kharkiv yesterday.
Shelling of Kharkiv on May 25
On Saturday, May 25, Russians repeatedly shelled Kharkiv. Around 16:00, explosions were heard in the city, and later it became known that the occupiers targeted the Epicenter hypermarket.
There were many people in Epicenter at the time of the attack. A massive fire broke out as a result of the attack. It was reported that employees of the hypermarket died in the shelling, and more than ten employees could not be contacted.
During the night, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported 11 fatalities.
Furthermore, a few hours after the attack, the Russians struck Kharkiv again. Local authorities reported shelling in the city's central district, targeting residential areas.
