Escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah
In recent weeks, the conflict between Israel and the militants of the Lebanese group Hezbollah, which is supported by Iran, has significantly intensified.
On September 28, the Israeli army launched a massive strike on Lebanese territory, during which the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, was eliminated.
Yesterday, militants fired at northern regions of Israel, prompting the IDF to respond by destroying the launch site from which the fire was directed.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Israel may begin a ground invasion of Lebanon as early as this week.
Today, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the next phase of Israel's war against the Lebanese group Hezbollah will begin soon.
