To force Russia to stop the war, it must be deprived of access to resources and the ability to sell oil. At the same time, proposals for negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin are absurd, said adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Mykhailo Podolyak.

According to him, Putin, like any "primitive and predictable authoritarian," is obsessed with weapons.

"Every thought he has is about how many people he will kill next, what he will seize, who he will deport. Putin has a hyper-focus on war as his only source of competitiveness," Podolyak said.

He added that for this reason, proposals for negotiations with the Russian President are absurd.

"A person with a severe personality disorder cannot remain within the bounds of rationality. Here, either specific psychocorrection is appropriate, or, in our case, unconditional isolation," the presidential adviser stated.

Podolyak emphasized that Russia must be deprived of access to resources, cut off from financial markets, and blocked from selling oil. He added that smuggling schemes for purchasing components for Kalibr and Iskander missiles must also be stopped.

"Unfortunately, up to 70% of the electronics in Russian missiles come from Europe and the United States, so this access must be denied. The tools exist, but the process of 'defattening Russia' must be significantly accelerated," the adviser said.

He also recalled that he had recently stated that the Russian attitude toward the war would change once explosions began to occur across the entire territory of Russia.

According to the Presidential Office adviser, for this, Ukraine needs long-range weapons: Tomahawk missiles, Flamingo missiles, or heavy drones.
