Hungary will not have veto over financial aid to Ukraine
Hungary will not have the right to veto the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine, according to the Twitter account of Radio Free Europe correspondent Rikard Jozwiak.
According to Jozwiak, if necessary, in two years, the European Council may ask the European Commission to propose revisions to Ukraine's financial assistance. This can be done without facing a Hungarian veto.
EU Summit
One of the main topics of today's summit in Brussels was an attempt to agree on a financial aid package of 50 billion euros for Ukraine over four years. It is worth recalling that Hungary blocked the package during the previous meeting on December 1.
Despite this, EU leaders have already approved the allocation of 50 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program. The conditions under which the assistance to our country was unblocked have become known."
