Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó responded to criticism from his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha after the entry ban on Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Robert Madyar Brovdi to Hungary and the Schengen zone, Szijjártó reported.

In response to Sybiha's criticism, who stated that for Szijjártó "the Russian pipeline is more important" than "the Ukrainian children killed by Russia," the Hungarian minister asked not to drag Hungary into the war.

"This is not our war! We are not responsible for it, we did not launch it, we have not been participating in it. Stop provoking us, stop risking our energy security, and stop making efforts to drag us into your war!" Szijjártó wrote.

Hungary banned Madyar from entering the country

On August 28 it became known that Hungary banned entry to one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders due to Ukrainian drone strikes on the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline. In addition, this officer was reportedly banned from entering the Schengen zone.

Later it was revealed that the commander who was banned from entry is the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, callsign Madyar. The information was confirmed by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's office.

Madyar responded to the sanctions, emphasizing that the money Hungary pays for Russian oil goes to the production of missiles and drones in Russia.

In this regard, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed outrage and instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to take appropriate measures against Hungary. Meanwhile, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski demonstratively invited Madyar to visit Poland.

Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summoned the Hungarian ambassador and handed him a note of protest regarding the entry ban on Madyar.
