Hundreds of Russians destroyed and captured by Ukrainian forces: Tavria front update

Over the past day, November 24, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed another 502 Russians in the Tavria direction. There are also prisoners, reports the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction.
Over the past day, the enemy:
- carried out 4 airstrikes;
- conducted 50 combat clashes;
- carried out 912 artillery barrages.
Avdiivka direction
The enemy, with the support of aviation, does not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are firmly on the defensive and inflicting significant losses on the terrorists.
"The offensive actions of the enemy east of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region were unsuccessful. Here Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 attacks," the press service writes.
Maryinka direction
The enemy carried out assaults in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks.
Shakhtarsk direction
The enemy did not conduct assaults.
Zaporizhzhia direction
The Russians unsuccessfully tried 7 times to restore the lost position near Robotyne and Novopokrovka, Zaporizhzhia region.
Achievements of Ukrainian soldiers
The defense forces continue the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction. The enemy lost 502 people, and 3 more terrorists surrendered. 24 units of military equipment were also destroyed, including:
- 1 tank;
- 4 armored combat vehicles;
- 4 artillery systems;
- 12 drones;
- 3 cars.
"Another 21 units of enemy equipment were damaged," the press service adds.
The enemy reduced the number of airstrikes and armored vehicles
As Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops, said, terrorists have reduced the number of airstrikes in the Tavria direction, but the activity of the infantry is still high.
The spokesperson of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, Oleksandr Shtupun, added that Russian terrorists had begun to surrender. In addition to yesterday's three, today there is information that up to a dozen Russians have chosen life.
"Armored equipment (the enemy, - ed.) is currently rarely used. Because during the beginning of the third wave, which began a few days ago, the enemy lost a lot of equipment," Shtupun adds.
It is worth adding that Oleksandr Tarnavsky recently warned that the Russians have launched a third wave of the offensive in the Avdiivka direction in the Donetsk region.
Russia's losses
According to the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during the past day, November 24, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 860 occupiers. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 323,760 troops.
