Howitzers, ammunition, and more: Latvia announces new aid package for Ukraine
Latvia is preparing a new assistance package for Ukraine, which will include howitzers, ammunition, and more, according to the statement of Latvian President Egils Levits, during a joint press conference with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Additionally, agreements on military cooperation, particularly regarding drone production, have been signed between the two countries.

Latvia has also committed to leading a drone coalition within the framework of Ramstein, as mentioned by the Latvian leader.
Moreover, President Levits and President Zelenskyy signed memorandums of cooperation in the military sphere, including the production of drones, which is considered crucial for Ukraine.
Levits mentioned that there would be an intergovernmental agreement on assistance to Ukraine. The Latvian Saeima (parliament) had previously voted to allocate over 500 million euros for a reconstruction program focusing on the Chernihiv region over three years.
Zelenskyy's visit to the Baltic states
Yesterday, on January 10, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy arrived in Vilnius for a working visit, where he held negotiations with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. The leaders of the two countries signed a Joint Statement.
Today, on January 11, Zelenskyy visited Estonia, where he also had a series of important meetings before heading to Latvia.
