Heart attack is a dangerous condition that can lead to death. The symptoms of a heart attack can vary, but there are five main signs to pay attention to, says doctor Azmain Chowdhury.

The first sign is chest pain. This pain can be sharp, dull, or with a feeling of tightness.

The second sign is pain spreading elsewhere. It may radiate to other parts of the body, such as the arm, jaw, neck, shoulder, or back.

The third sign is shortness of breath. A person experiencing a heart attack may have difficulty breathing, even with minimal physical exertion.

The fourth sign is a feeling of weakness and increased sweating. A person with a heart attack may feel tired or weak, experience sweating, or a sticky feeling on the skin.

The fifth sign is nonspecific symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or fatigue. These symptoms may be less obvious than other signs of a heart attack.
