Since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Ukrainians have been warned of several dangers caused by the war. There is also a threat of Russian chemical attacks, according to the head of the Kherson City Military Administration.

The algorithm of actions when you are indoors is different from when you are outdoors.

In particular, if possible, you should go to the highest floor. Find a room with as few windows and doors as possible. Because chemicals are usually heavier than air, the air will be cleaner on the upper levels of buildings.

It is also worth minimizing the flow of air from outside to inside. Close windows, doors, vents, and anything else that helps air get into the room. Do not eat or drink anything that could be exposed to the chemicals.

If possible, turn on the news on TV, radio or the internet to get updated health and safety information. You should be told when it is safe to go out.

The Russian army often uses dangerous chemicals on the frontline in Ukraine. In particular, this spring, on 10 March, Russia used chemical weapons 15 times. On 3 March, Russians dropped chemical weapons on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces 9 times.
