How potential Ukraine-Russia ceasefire would be monitored: Zelenskyy’s response

Compliance with a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine can be monitored using various methods, including satellites and drones, stated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a meeting with journalists.
"In my opinion, violations can be monitored through the following steps: the first step is satellites, the second step is intelligence - joint US-Ukrainian intelligence can work, to control with the reconnaissance drones," Zelenskyy explained.
He added that, for now, monitoring the situation is possible if the US receives information from both Ukrainian and Russian sides.
"In the future, risks of a potential reinvasion could be controlled by a contingent as an additional force deployed in the appropriate parts of Ukraine. On the water, in the air, etc. Air defense must, of course, be 100%," Zelenskyy emphasized.
Ceasefire talks
Recently, Ukraine accepted a US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. On March 13, American officials discussed the matter with the Russian side, but Moscow has yet to provide a final response.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed concerns over certain details, particularly regarding Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region and the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine.
The US has already warned that it will impose the harshest sanctions on Russia if it refuses to end the war.
