Yemeni Houthis have threatened to attack any ships linked to Israel in any way, according to The Jerusalem Post.

On July 27, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree declared that the Iran-backed group would target any vessels found to have connections to Israel.

Saree said that they warned all companies to cease cooperation with Israeli ports, adding that otherwise, ships, regardless of their destination, would be attacked anywhere their missiles and drones could reach.

In their statement, the Houthis said that all countries wishing to avoid further escalation must put pressure on Israel to end its aggression and lift the blockade on Gaza.

The group also declared that it bears a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility toward the people of Gaza.

“The actions of the Yemeni Armed Forces express our moral and humanitarian commitment to the injustice against the brotherly Palestinian people, and all our military operations will cease immediately upon the cessation of aggression against Gaza and the lifting of the blockade,” the Houthis added.

Situation in Gaza

On July 27, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officially announced daily pauses in fighting in Gaza to allow for the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Combat operations will pause from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time in several designated areas.

The IDF has also resumed airdropping humanitarian aid into Gaza.

According to Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen, Israel has decided to increase the volume of humanitarian assistance to Gaza to avoid potential EU sanctions.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump, commenting on the breakdown in ceasefire negotiations, stated that Israel will have to decide on its next steps against Hamas.
