A hospital in Kyiv caught fire on the morning of September 28 following a Russian attack. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on Telegram that there may be casualties as a result of the blaze.

“In the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out on one of the floors of a state medical facility. Preliminary information suggests there may be casualties,” he said.

According to updated information, debris fell into the yard of a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the city. Several cars caught fire as a result of the attack, but the blaze has since been extinguished.

Russian strike on Ukraine

On Sunday, September 28, Russia carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine. Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, and the Kyiv region came under fire.

In Kyiv, impacts and falling debris were recorded in several districts — Sviatoshynskyi, Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi. Residential buildings were reported damaged.

As of 8:00 a.m., six people were injured in Kyiv. According to the mayor, five of them have been hospitalized.

In Zaporizhzhia, the number of wounded has risen to 21. Two of the victims are in serious condition.
