Hezbollah loses warehouse of precision missiles in Beirut

Israel struck a Hezbollah facility in Beirut to prevent further escalation in the region, according to the Telegram channel of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The strike took place on Sunday, April 27, targeting a terrorist infrastructure facility in the Dahieh area of Beirut, where Hezbollah was storing precision-guided missiles.
The Israeli Air Force launched three missiles at the site, causing damage to buildings and vehicles.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or injuries. Before the strike, a warning was issued urging evacuation, and the IDF carried out precautionary warning strikes.
In a joint statement from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the country's Defense Ministry, it was emphasized that the targeted facility posed a significant threat to Israel, which will not allow Hezbollah to regroup following the year-long conflict.
Israel's war with the Hezbollah group
Hezbollah launched drone and rocket attacks against Israel on October 8, 2023, in solidarity with the Palestinian group Hamas, which had invaded Israel the day before. In response, Israeli forces struck Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.
Due to the ongoing Islamist attacks, Israeli troops launched a ground operation against terrorists in southern Lebanon in September last year.
Following the elimination of most of Hezbollah’s senior commanders, including longtime leader Hassan Nasrallah, the two sides agreed to a ceasefire. Under the agreement, Israeli forces committed to withdrawing from the occupied southern areas of Lebanon within 60 days, while the Lebanese Armed Forces were tasked with taking control of the region and preventing militants from returning.
However, in practice, the ceasefire is frequently violated.
On April 20, the IDF struck Hezbollah military facilities and rocket launchers in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon.
On April 8, Israeli warplanes targeted the Islamist group's air defense unit.
In March, Israeli forces attacked the Radwan command center in southern Lebanon.
