With less than a week to go before the US presidential election, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is set to deliver her closing remarks on Tuesday, October 29, where she will address Trump, reports Axios.

During her final address to voters, Vice President Harris is expected to describe former President Donald Trump as unstable and someone who craves unchecked power. This is indicated by excerpts from her speech.

Axios notes that one week before election day, Harris will contrast her vision for the country with that of her Republican opponent, portraying him as consumed by vengeance, while she will promise to be a president for all Americans.

"I pledge to seek common ground and common sense solutions to make your lives better. I am not looking to score political points. I am looking to make progress," she is expected to say.

In her final statement about the presidential election, Harris calls for unity and portrays her Republican opponent as a threat.

"Donald Trump has spent a decade trying to keep the American people divided and afraid of each other. That's who he is. But America, I am here tonight to say: that's not who we are. Unlike Donald Trump, I don't believe people who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail. I'll give them a seat at my table," the Vice President is expected to say.

Axios noted that in recent weeks, Harris has intensified her efforts to portray Trump as unfit for office. She has increasingly relied on supporting Republicans to help articulate her position.

The Democratic candidate is expected to declare that another term for Trump would bring even more chaos, division, and policies that benefit those at the top while harming everyone else.

"I offer a different path. And I ask for your vote," Harris is set to say.

The Vice President's speech will take place at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. This location is symbolic, as it is the same venue where Trump spoke on January 6, 2021, before a crowd of his supporters stormed the US Capitol.
