US Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris is preparing to call Donald Trump to concede her defeat in the recent election. Incumbent President Joe Biden also plans to make a similar call to Trump, citing NBC News.

According to Harris’s aides, she is expected to call Trump on Wednesday to acknowledge her loss in the election. Harris is also scheduled to deliver a speech, though the timing is yet to be confirmed, as she is currently working on her remarks.

Incumbent President Joe Biden also intends to call Trump today.

According to a White House spokesperson, Biden also plans to give a public speech addressing the election results.

The US presidential election took place on Tuesday, November 5. Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party and Donald Trump of the Republican Party vied for the White House.

On the morning of November 6, addressing his supporters, Donald Trump declared himself the new President of the United States.

Later, it was revealed that Trump secured 277 electoral votes, sufficient to win the presidency.
