Republican Donald Trump has de facto declared himself the winner of the US presidential election. Speaking to the supporters, he promised to solve problems with the US border, according to RBC-Ukraine correspondent and CNN.

“This is a political victory that our country has never seen before,” he said, adding that he won the election with more votes than another candidate for the US presidency, Kamala Harris.

During his speech to supporters, the Republican called them “the greatest political movement of all time” and promised to solve the border problems as well as other “American problems.”

"I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America,” he said.

Election in the United States

The US presidential election took place on Tuesday, November 5. The main contenders for this position were Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party and Donald Trump, who represents the Republican Party.

Western officials called on European countries to prepare for the possible consequences of the US election. They made the appeal in an open letter, expressing concern about potential changes in international politics.

Political analyst Oleh Saakian also warned of the possibility of an internal crisis in the United States after the election process.
