Zelenskyy warns Russia may ramp up attacks on Ukraine to manipulate diplomatic talks

The Russian army may step up pressure on the front to create political conditions favorable to Russia. Preparations and troop movements are already being recorded, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Based on the political and diplomatic situation around Ukraine, and knowing Russia's treachery, we anticipate that in the coming days the Russian army may try to increase pressure and strikes against Ukrainian positions in order to create more favorable political circumstances for talks with global actors," Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian President noted that Russian forces are already preparing for new assaults. Ukraine is ready to counter the offensive with an asymmetric response if necessary.
"I asked the Commander-in-Chief to speak with combat commanders. Ukraine needs strong positions and truly tangible resistance to the enemy. I thank every one of our soldiers, sergeants, and officers who are carrying out combat missions and destroying the occupiers in the way that is necessary for Ukraine's confidence," the President added.
Meanwhile, Russians have been caught in another lie. Russian propaganda is using a new disinformation tactic: staged videos showing captures of settlements.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have advanced on a key section of the front in the Lyman direction. Ukraine has also recorded significant gains for the second day in a row on some of the toughest sections of the front — the Dobropillia and Pokrovske directions in the Donetsk region.
