Harris to announce vice presidential pick in coming days - CNN
White House candidate Kamala Harris may introduce her vice presidential running mate on August 6, in Philadelphia, CNN reports.
During the working weekend, the search for a vice presidential candidate ended at Harris's residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC. A total of three interviews were held with the final candidates, including:
- Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota;
- Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania;
- Mark Kelly, Senator from Arizona.
As of Sunday evening, according to people familiar with the search process, it was not clear whether Harris had made a final decision. It is also possible that the Vice President will name her running mate in a letter that will be sent to her supporters by email.
