Democratic presidential candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris is significantly leading Republican candidate Donald Trump in two key "swing states" that will greatly influence the election outcome. In four other states, she also holds a slight edge, according to The Hill.

A Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released on September 26 showed that Harris is slightly ahead of Trump in six critical states. Specifically:

  • Harris leads Trump by 7 percentage points in Nevada (52% to 45%),
  • by 5 percentage points in Pennsylvania (51% to 46%),
  • and by 3 percentage points in Arizona and Michigan.

With a minimal margin, Harris is also ahead in North Carolina (50% to 48%) and Wisconsin (49% to 48%), while in Georgia, both candidates are supported by 49% of voters.

It is important to note that most of these results, except for Nevada and Pennsylvania, fall within the margin of error.

Overall, in seven key states, Harris is leading Trump by three percentage points. If other candidates are included in the polls, Harris's lead increases to four percentage points.

The data collection for the poll was conducted from September 19 to 25 among 6,165 registered voters in the respective states. The margin of error for the Nevada poll is 4 percentage points, while for the other states, it is 3 percentage points.

US elections

It is worth noting that the presidential elections in the US will take place this fall. Currently, the main contenders for the presidency are Trump and Harris.

Additionally, Trump has made several statements regarding the war in Ukraine and US assistance.

Specifically, it was recently reported that if Trump is elected President, military aid to Ukraine will only be provided if Kyiv engages in peace negotiations with Russia.

However, today, the Republican leader decided to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
