Trump may cut off military aid to Ukraine if he wins: Condition named
Two key advisors to Donald Trump have presented him with a plan to end Russia's war in Ukraine if he wins the presidential election. The plan involves providing military aid to Ukraine only if Kyiv enters into peace negotiations with Russia, according to Reuters.
One of Trump's national security advisors, Keith Kellogg, said that at the same time, the Kremlin would be warned that any refusal to negotiate would result in increased American support for Ukraine.
According to the plan developed by Kellogg and Fred Fleitz, a ceasefire based on the prevailing frontline positions should be established during the peace talks.
Fleitz mentioned that Trump responded positively to the plan.
"I'm not claiming he agreed with it or agreed with every word of it, but we were pleased to get the feedback we did," he said.
The strategy outlined by Kellogg and Fleitz is the most detailed plan developed by Trump's associates, who have claimed that he could quickly resolve the war in Ukraine if he defeats President Joe Biden in the November 5 election, although they have not discussed specific details.
This proposal would mark a significant shift in the US stance on the war and would likely face opposition from European allies and within Trump's Republican Party.
Trump's stance on war in Ukraine
Donald Trump, who previously served as US President, has repeatedly expressed a critical stance towards Ukraine and promised to swiftly end the war within hours.
However, Trump has been ambiguous about the supply of weapons from the US to Ukraine. He recently reiterated his criticism of the level of support for Ukraine and threatened to cut off financial aid.
