Former US President and presidential candidate Donald Trump in his statement at the Turning Point USA pre-election event in Detroit criticized the scale of support for Ukraine and threatened to halt financial aid.

He criticized the scale of US support for Ukraine, claiming Ukraine's requests "never stop."

"I think Zelenskyy is probably the greatest salesman of any politician that's ever lived. Every time he comes to our country, he walks away with $60 billion... He just left, four days ago, with $60 billion. And he gets home and announces that he needs another $60 billion. And it never ends, it never ends. I will have that settled prior to taking the White House as president-elect," Trump said.

At the same time, the former president expressed sympathy for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for his conduct during the 2019 scandal when Zelenskyy did not confirm Trump's threats.
